These baked Strawberry Habanero Hot Wings are coated in a homemade spicy-sweet habanero sauce, striking the perfect balance between heat and fruitiness. Served with a creamy blue cheese dip and a side of crisp, refreshing veggies, they’re an irresistible combination of fire and cool.
Who’s starving for some hot chicken wings? Those Strawberry Habanero Hot Wings are medium-hot with a fruity touch; the strawberry and honey glaze helps calm all that habanero heat. Plus, on the side, another tongue-soothing element is the creamy blue cheese dip. Great on any occasion, whether it’s the “game” of the century or simply a get-together. These will be a hit! Plus, no deep frying is involved, making them lighter.
Let’s Talk Habanero

Habanero peppers are popular hot peppers! They are obviously really hot but also have an undertone of sweetness, which is a lovely combo. They are rated 100,000 out of 350,000 on the Scoville scale, which is hot but not deadly, but don’t underestimate them. With this attribute, they are also used as a natural insecticide for organic gardens.
The Homemade Hot Sauce
The homemade habanero sauce is an indispensable newcomer for the fridge; this version contains a few strawberries to make it extra fruity and bring out the fruity side of the habanero. Many recipes in the Webosphere have mango or papaya in them, but why not strawberries? This ruby red fruit fits perfectly with the blue cheese dip, unlike tropical fruits, and its acidity is spot on to neutralize some of the heat from the powerful habanero hot chillis. Use some extra hot sauce on the wings if you are brave enough for the habanero heat.

Storage of the Hot Sauce
The vinegar and habanero will help preserve the sauce longer, although the strawberries, being a fruit, will make this sauce survive a bit less long. You can easily keep it for two weeks in the refrigerator if you put it in a regular bottle without sterilization. Otherwise, in a well-sterilized and vacuumed vessel, you can keep it for about three months without a problem.
Storage
You can keep the Habanero Hot Wings in the fridge for up to 3 months, and they’re useful in many dishes: for example, if you want ground meat with a bit of kick, a spicier tomato sauce, a wok dish, ribs, etc.
The Blue Cheese Dip

The blue cheese dip is a creamy touch to soothe your tongue when the habanero is burning too much. It’s a perfect remedy for all that heat. Also, it’s handmade and terribly easy to make. I’ve used my favourite blue cheese, Roquefort, and a touch of cream, and that’s pretty much all it contains. So easy! Additionally, it is a fantastic dip for the crunchy veggies, too!
Storage
You can keep the leftovers Habanero Hot Wings in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Simply pop them back in the oven (or Air fryer) to reheat them until hot, and voila! You can also freeze them for a few weeks without a problem.
